I guess we are grossly outdated when it comes to updating of our blog posts. William and Alicia’s wedding day was a few weeks back. We had been kept busy with weeks after weeks of assignments and backlogs and edit. Anyway, cut the story short, the story should be about our couple…. William and Alicia whom we filmed on 3-October-2009, Mid-Autumn Festival. I was quite amazed by the amount of effort the groom and his groomsmen prepared the “props” for William pulled off all his might to impress … with an unexpected song as he walked in to fetch Alicia. 郑伊健 一生只爱你一个 touched the bride to tears.
Congrats to William and Alicia, continue to touch each other in livelong journey ahead of you. It was a joy to have our team be a part of your beautiful wedding.
Rule #3: never do fast movements and transitions, otherwise you can’t identify the faces in the montage clearly
those are the common rules to follow for the process of doing a childhood montage, but we broke them all! A quick tempo song, fast moves and transitions, and photo sequence that eschew the usual chronological convention. By pushing the envelop, our efforts culminated in a great unique show, worthy to be remembered for years to come.
One of our fav pieces for this season, created in a outrageously rebellious style – thanks to the couple, Chun Kiat and Sze Jia, who made all of this possible.
We almost could not get the wedding video of Gordon & Meiling out in time to showcase during their wedding banquet at Marina Mandarin. We were adding in the final touches during their solemnization that happened at 6pm, but were faced with problems after problems. We really panicked when we almost ran out of time to show the video, but thanks to the great staff of Marina Mandarin hotel who rendered great help and support to our team, we managed to pull things off. Thanks once again to the great team at Marina Mandarin on 3-Oct-09, thanks so much! Our laptop was promptly sent to the service centre, and I do not look forward to the next time such things happens.
The couple were totally natural … I love the way they just enjoyed the day without worries … and their expression shows the bliss in them. It was difficult to find any one moment where they did not bask in their happiness and joy. I also heard that Gordon is an experienced bridal car driver, this time round …. he trust no one else but himself to drive his pretty bride around in the BMW Sports Series. Check out also the fun loving and sporting band of brothers, who turned fashionistas and one of them turned into Singapore’s very own merlion too. Congrats to Gordon & Meiling and thanks for having us celebrate Mid-Autumn festival together with you on your wedding!

We had great fun during together with the couple; Ben & Jingting, both shooting their pre-wedding video as well as during their actual day wedding videography.
In this collaboration shoot with Hongyin, the photographer for the couple we went to places where they went for their first date, some of their favourite hangouts whenever they go dating and not forgetting the place where they met, fell in love and decided to be with each other for the rest of their lives as a couple @ SGH.
Check out also the fun moments the groom and his brothers had, as well as the touching moments in this wedding video highlights that’s presented. Congrats once again to Ben & Jingting, it was really fun to be with you guys throughout the pre-wedding and actual day shoot.
Sorry to keep you guys waiting for so long without any news or new posts on this blog. I think we have had a busy off-wedding season as well, many post-edits to complete and to crack new ideas for some new stuff we wanna try out. Will keep you posted by back-logging some new videos we have. Meanwhile, we celebrated Teck Yong and Wanling’s wedding to mark the start of our 2009 wedding season for the later part of the year.
We had a blast during the wedding day for this couple. Their gatecrashing games were quite connotatively thought out, many clever and entertaining games were played. The couple were given exclusive rights to shoot at the yet to open newest attraction in town on top of Orchard Central shopping mall. Raymond never fails to do great car shots, and we enjoyed creating car scenes from the tunnel to the bridges. Check out the video and some screen grabs!
We will also keep more news updated soon again. Till then.

In our line of work, nothing beats a thank you from our satisfied client when they see our work becoming part of their family heritage and history. We occasionally get emails and thank you sms from our happy clients, and many leave their words on our blog as well. The following are some of the cards we have received of late. Really nice and sweet of you guys! Thank you for having us!
Guixiang & Gloria – Giant Postal Package
Got a shock when I received such a big parcel from SingPost. Compare the size to the standard DVD size. Guixiang and Gloria sent me a laminated newspaper article (knowing that I would be too lazy to do it). Thanks so much! Thanks for the lovely card too. Something about handwritten card makes it different … especially touching. But I love those thank you sms and emails too!
Alvin & Xueli – Beautifully designed card with calories “burning” Godiva chocs
Thanks for the chocs, it was lovely… i think there isn’t much of it left… become much added calories … The card was fantastically nicely designed. By the way, Alvin is a designer … a really good one at that. So we are really honoured for him to pick us to partake in his wedding. Thank you so much Alvin & Xueli!
Jiagen & Huibin – cute cuppa mocha thank you card
such a cute card isn’t it? The wedding of Jiagen and Huibin was a nerve wrecking one… we were rushing a super lunch express highlights which was exhilarating…
Love the greenery of the card and there’s just something that handwritten words can express so much better than printed ones right? Did you see the word AWESOME??
Lighthouse Studio is featured on the Straits Times today! Thanks to the reporter who caught our innovative ways of having the bride enjoy the moments of the gate-crashing live from her room. I shall update very soon on the wedding of Tze Jun & Sujun too which made all this possible.
We are really having difficulty to keep up with the updates on the entries on our blog with the videos that we do for our clients. We will be attempting to post out all the recent videos we have done through the months of May, June and now July. I shall kick start our “backlog” again with the beautiful wedding of Kenneth & Jolin which happened on 6-June this year.
There is just that something about Church Weddings that just brings out that sacredness in the celebration of marriage. Kenneth & Jolin certainly expressed their joy and happiness on their wedding day. We will try to grab a few screen frames and share with you soon. Meanwhile, please enjoy the video.
The couple also maintains a wedding blog, you may wish to visit their site to see how they have prepared for their wedding.
This was yet another couple that got together from the days our our hostel living in NTU Hall 5. For those who have been following our blog, Eric & Candy, as well as Tevin & Jas were the few other couples that Lighthouse Studio had the privilege to help record their wedding celebrations. We all heard this couple got to know each other better, thanks to the Inter-Hall Games of DARTS. Thus it was quite fitting that Wilson had to “shoot” his way through to win his bride. Here’s some video screen grabs for you to get a quick preview of whats in the video.

During the dinner banquet, the talented Wilson Fu (younger brother of the bride) also performed an excellent rendition of Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours…. by the way, the bride’s younger brother is also called Wilson. So today on the 11-July-2009, the Fu family also welcomed Wilson Tham as the son-in-law of the family.

The groom Wilson and the bride Kaiting gives a rousing applause
“I never knew my brother could sing that well!”
Wilson has a little fan giving him flowers
“Can I be like you when i grow up?”
Our best reward for us is to see those smiling faces of the banquet guests when the highlights video is being played. For Wilson & Kaiting, they took up my suggestion to arrange the video to be shown while they are in the ballroom to enjoy the show as well. Check out the groom’s expression in the centre of the collage picture while the bride is happily laughing away.

We also did up their childhood photo montage in our signature 3D style. Hope you enjoy the pics and the clips, and do keep coming back for more.
We gave you guys a sneak preview sometime ago on one of the new types of montage we are attempting. Thanks to Eddie & Mandy, who entrusted us with the big job of re-creating their love story through a short cartoon snippet. Its one of our first attempts at something like that, I hope it did turn out to be a watchable piece of work.
Thanks especially to Eddie and Mandy who gave us very encouraging words:
“Thank you for cracking your head burning midnight oil just to make sure the montage is a great piece of work! As much as we overwhelmed you with so much details, your professional eyes can still spot the highlights and piece them together in a beautiful flow! We know not how to thank you enough… THANKS! “
If you like what you see and would like to work with us to develop the next cartoon montage, we will be glad to help you eternalize your story to be told to your friends, relatives and even your kids in the future! Thank you once again to Eddie & Mandy for being patient and forbearing with us on the tight deadline and giving us all trust to deliver this piece for you.
